The Longevity Ladder is free to read and is supported by display advertising and affiliate links. This policy explains what information is involved when you visit, which third parties take part, and the choices you have — including how to control advertising cookies.

How This Site Is Funded

• 📢 Display advertising — the site is designed to be supported by display advertising served by Google (AdSense). When an ad is displayed, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to select and measure it.
• 🛒 Affiliate links — some pages link to Amazon and, where applicable, iHerb through the CJ Affiliate network. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.
• 🔓 No accounts, no paywall — there is no sign-up, no login, and no newsletter subscription on this site.

Information and Site Operation

• 🖥️ Hosting and CDN logs — when you request a page, our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) may process technical request data such as IP address, time, requested URL, and browser or device information for delivery, security, and troubleshooting, under its own terms and retention practices.
• 📮 Messages you send us — if you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to include and use it to reply.
• 📊 No site analytics currently — we do not currently run an analytics product on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

• 🍪 What they are — small files or identifiers stored by your browser that let a site or a third party recognise a visit.
• 🔒 What this site sets itself — we do not set our own tracking cookies. We do not have accounts, so there is no logged-in state to maintain.

Your Privacy Choices

• 🇪🇺 EEA, UK and Switzerland — where required, a Google-certified consent message appears before advertising cookies are used, with accept, decline, and manage-options controls; you can change your choice at any time from the same message or by clearing site data.
• 🇺🇸 US state privacy rights — residents of states with privacy laws may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of personalised advertising, use the Google and industry controls above.
• 🛡️ Global Privacy Control — where required by law, we honour browser-based opt-out preference signals such as GPC for the activities they cover.
• ✉️ Making a request — for any privacy request, use the contact page. We will ask only for what we need to verify and answer the request.

Data Retention

• 🗄️ Server logs — retained by our hosting/CDN provider according to its own retention practices, for security and delivery purposes.
• 📨 Correspondence — messages you send are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to record any correction we make.

Children's Privacy

This site is educational content for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
